It’s the first time that the warehouse Martin Faixó takes part in the world’s biggest global wine competition
The warehouse Martin Faixó has obtained a Commended Medal in the Decanter World Wine Awards 2013 with the Perafita Picapoll 2012. This is the first time that Cadaqués’ warehouse takes part in the world’s biggest global wine competition.
The Perafita Picapoll went out to the market in 2007, with the rest of Martin Faixo’s references. Since then, every year the limited production of this white wine (13.000 bottles) becomes exhausted. The winter of last year, the warehouse Martín Faixó extended the plantation of picapoll vineyard with approximately 3 more hectares, with which one expects to extend the production in two years.
According to Ester Martin, manager of the warehouse Martin Faixó, “this recognition supposes a reward to the realized work and we hope that it is one more impulse to the commercialization of this reference that, from always, has had very good reception”
